Pros and Cons about Abortion

There have been many debates regarding abortion. Before you are for or against abortion, you should look at the points from both sides and not just one side. In this article, we are not able to tell you whether we support abortion or not. We can, however, give you pros and cons about abortion and let you make your own decision.

Pro- Almost all abortions take place during the first trimester. During the first trimester, they say the fetus is not able to exist independent of the most. It is attached to the umbilical cord and the placenta. The health is dependent on the mother and is not able to exist as a separate entity outside her room.

Con- While it may not be able to exist as an entity outside of the mother's womb, if you give the baby a chance to grow, it will be able to exist as an entity outside of the room, just as you are.

Pro-Abortion is a medical procedure that is said to be safe. Abortions have less than 0.5 percent risk of complications and they do not affect the health of the woman during that time.

Con - While an abortion is not going to physically hurt you right away, it could harm you later in life. An abortion could result in medical complications later in life. When a woman has an abortion, later in life, their chances of an ectopic pregnancy doubles and the chance of developing a pelvic inflammatory disease will increase. Before a woman has an abortion, they need to make sure it is what THEY want.

Pro - When a teenager becomes a mother, their future will not look so bright. A teenage mother is more likely to leave school, rely on public assistance, develop health problems and end up divorced.

Con - While some teenagers do not succeed after having a baby, there are many that are living proof that it is possible. Life, no matter how you stack it is going to be easy. There are many people who are willing to help you succeed and support teenage mothers after they give birth.

Those are pros and cons about abortion. There are many supporters of abortion, while there are many others who are against it. In the end, it is important to realize that while you have something growing inside of your body, the being in your body also has a father. Before having an abortion, you should speak to the father of the baby.
