Signs of Controlling Behavior in Relationships

It is always hard to be around an individual that is dominating and it is even harder to be in a relationship with a man or a woman that is dominating. To some extent, most intimate relationships are controlling because we link our lives together – this is even true when it comes to family relationships. Are you doing things that you really do not like to do just so your partner is happy and will not complain? If you were to tolerate this type of control, your self esteem is going to be destroyed until you can no longer take it.

Your Priorities Do Not Matter

You are in a manipulative relationship if your partner makes you disengage in things that mean a lot to you.

There are many other signs of controlling behavior in relationships. If you feel as if you are in a manipulative relationship, then you need to find a way to fix it. If sitting down and rationally talking it over with your partner does not work, then you may need to seek counseling.
